Acknowledgement

 

Thanks to the generosity of our members and supportive friends like you, the World Affairs Council of Orange County is able to continue its commitment to promote awareness and engagement on critical global issues, opportunities and challenges, and has helped inform and educate our members and the community about how these issues affect their lives, their families and businesses. 

All donations received (general donations or ticket purchases) will be used only for the project specified and in accordance with the description posted by the World Affairs Council of Orange County on the Website or as set out in the written proposal submitted to the organization, and not for any other purpose. 

 

Event Cancellations & Refunds

 

We understand that even the most carefully made plans are subject to change. If you are unable to attend a virtual or in-person event for which you registered, we ask that you kindly alert us as soon as possible so your place may be made available to someone else.

If you purchase admission to a ticketed WACOC event, we will gladly refund the ticket price up to the start time of the event for most virtual events and up to three days in advance for most in-person events. For events where meals or refreshments are being planned and served, we may require further advance notice for a refund to be possible.

Sometimes, things happen! 

In the unlikely event that a WACOC program needs to be rescheduled or canceled, we will make every effort to accommodate registrants and will gladly refund ticket costs or register-by-donation contributions if you are unable to attend the rescheduled event.

Donations are otherwise nonrefundable, but if you have made an error in making your donation to the World Affairs Council of Orange County, please contact us. Refunds are returned using the original method of payment. If you made your donation by credit card, your refund will be credited to that same credit card. We are able to honor your request for a refund made within 15 days of your donation. To request a refund, please forward your confirmation of donation with your request to [email protected].

 

Membership Cancellations

 

Donors have the option to give recurring monthly donations. To change or stop your monthly recurring giving to the World Affairs Council of Orange County, please email [email protected] at least 15 days prior to the stop date. Using the guidelines of the donation refund policy above, we will be able to refund the donation of the previous month only.

Where an error has been made by our organization or a banking facility which results in an overpayment being made, our organization may, in consultation with the donor, refund by either a credit of the overpayment to the donor, or alternatively by check for the full amount of the overpayment. Checks will be sent within 30 days to the donor’s on file address. Donors are responsible to report any change of address to [email protected] or at our office number at 949-354-3180.
